Web Site Criteria
Numbers in parentheses represent course objectives.
- Multiple pages, developed using modularization techniques. (3)
- Demonstrate use of PARC design principles. (2)
- Follow naming rules (5)
- Be content rich based on topic described in the web plan. (1, 8)
- Contain graphic images (none over 40k, all as small as possible, correct file format). (5, 8)
- Be XHTML-Transitional 1.0 compliant with 0 errors. (4)
- Implement at least one external CSS 2.1, screen media type, style sheet that validates with no errors. (4, 7)
- Be fully operational with NO broken links or broken graphics. (5)
- Contains a working communications mechanism (e.g. contact form), accessible from all pages. (3, 5)
- Demonstrate a clear organizational structure. (1, 5)
- Demonstrate proof of usability concepts being implemented and explained in a Colophon page. (6)
- Contains a clear copyright policy statement. (8)
- Demonstrate clear evidence of implementing course concepts and techniques. (9)
- Is an example of your best work — is not ameturish!
Remember that your "finished" web site must be loaded to the web server by the date of presentation and all assignments by their syllabus specified date. Be sure to fully test all pages after loading them!
